DIRECTOR, WRITER, CREATIVE & IMAGINATIVE STORYTELLER
Carlo is an Award-winning writer, director and filmmaker, with solid animation and live-action experience, who has written and developed animated content, as well as directed commercials, promos and live-action short films. His Hispanic essence makes him a great collaborator, who brings his passion, optimism and resourcefulness to set, and to any project he is part of. Born in México with a passion for sci-fi-superhero, as well as imaginative, and heartfelt storytelling, Carlo moved to the U.S. to join Cartoon Network Latin America’s award-winning On-Air Department. He got a break into translating his filmmaking passion into animated form when he wrote and produced a series of shorts called Santo Against The Clones, based on the famous Mexican luchador Santo, El Enmascarado de Plata, which later became the basis for an animated series at Cartoon Network Studios. Wanting to incorporate live-action into his storytelling craft, he studied Screenwriting at UCLA and later graduated with an MFA in Directing from Art Center College of Design, where he won a Student Emmy® with his short film "Cardboard Camera". He currently directs, writes and produces content for Disney Branded Television and lives in Los Angeles, California. Carlo is also currently serving as a writer and story editor at Walt Disney Imagineering as part of the team developing “Coco, The Ride” at Disney California Adventure.
